Modern diesel vehicles are now fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) as standard as part of European rules that came into force five years ago.
When driving, soot settles on the walls of the filter and starts to clog the pores of the DPF unit. This layer of soot can be burnt off during the regeneration process of driving at constant speed for a prolonged period of time, such as motorway driving. During short journeys or city driving, diesel cars do not reach the required exhaust temperature to allow regeneration to take place. If this continues to happen self-regeneration reaches a point when it is no longer possible... At this point a DPF light will appear on the dash and it often means an expensive 'removal and clean' cost or even a full replacement.
Our new TerraDiesel DPF System Cleaning Tool enables us to clean and restore an DPF filter without the need to dismantle the engine or exhaust. The tool works by applying 'TerraDiesel DPF' into the system to remove stubborn carbon deposits from the DPF.
There are a number of key benefits from this type of service, these include:
Removes carbon deposits from the DPF system
Improves fuel economy
Reduces vehicle emissions
Cheaper than fully removing and less time consuming

DPF Removal Notice
Can I not just remove my DPF if it becomes clogged? No not any more! - It has been a popular practice to remove the DPF when it has become blocked as this seemed an easier option, however in 2014 it was made illegal to operate a car that has had the manufacturer fitted DPF removed. MOT's also now include an emissions test that will catch out cars with missing DPF's. Our patented DPF cleaning system supplied by Terraclean allows us to clean the DPF without the need of removal from the vehicle, saving pounds on labour costs and keeping your vehicle legal.
